- Title
- Postcard from Mikhail Shimkevich to Berthe Lipchitz
- Date
- 19 December 1934
- Description
- Mikhail writes that if Berthe does not transfer money, Andrei will have to return to the 'commune' (Bolshevo NKVD prison-commune near Moscow). Money should come every month, and not later than the 15th day. For now, since Mikhail does not have money, Berthe should ask 'L.M.' at 'Fr[ench].A.[mbassade]' to take Andrei at his place. That's because Andrei needs better food than mere potatoes but Mikhail has nothing more.
