- Fanya talks about a portrait of Dzerzhinsky, her negotiations with [Isaak] Abramsky and Slavinsky. Also she mentions that has visited 'Zhenyutka', who already knows some letters and can write. This is Evgenia, daughter of Pavel Lipchitz, who was arrested in April 1936 according to Evgenia's memoirs. Fanya says that 'Pavlusha is on business trips, traveling and does not really write, he is very busy'.
