- Title
- Copy of letter from Jacques Lipchitz to unknown related to ‘Documents’ journal
- Date
- 28 December 1928
- Description
- Lipchitz informs an unknown recipient related to 'Documents', that he opposes the intention to publish 'any other image' except those that were proposed by Carl Einstein and [Michel] Leiris. An image that the recipient wanted to include, as Lipchitz tells, 'does not have anything with this exhibition' [most likely the one that Einstein mentioned, that is 'Exposition de la sculpture moderne'). Lipchitz also points out that the title of this 'other image' is not 'Les amoureux' [Lovers] but 'Sculpture' or 'The Couple'.
