- Letter from Vanessa Bell, Charleston, East Sussex, to Duncan Grant, staying with Adrian and Karin Stephen. Bell asks Grant to bring her preparatory drawings for the murals she and Grant will paint in John Maynard Keynes' room at King's College, Cambridge, and his portrait and any drawings of Jane Strachey, perhaps for reference when she begins her own portrait of Grant's aunt.
