All hell has broken loose here: sickness, malaise, bad paintings, the cat was on death’s door and had to have an operation – otherwise well. Thank you for the invitation to the German Institute. I was meant to RSVP but churlishly failed to do so, as with so many things, letters to reply to and other horrors – like tooth-pulling (in the immediate future).
